Ms Alison Price

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working independently with Children and Families. I qualified in 1992 and have throughout my career worked with children and young people, within the NHS, within Social Services, within Education and in Private Practice. I am passionate about working with this client group. Time and again I am inspired by the ability of family members to change and grow through difficult situations, finding courage and strength in the process. In my current practice, I offer therapeutic work to children and young people, to parents and whole families. I also offer consultations to Social Services, for children and families who are within the care system and to the Education service, for children who are having difficulties at school. My work commonly addresses the challenges associated with: Infancy and early childhood (0 – 4 years) – such as sleeping, feeding and toileting; Middle childhood (4 – 12 years) – such as handling bullying, peer group conflicts and other troubling interactions, school related difficulties and behaviour problems; Teenage years – such as developing one’s sense of identity and independence, forming relationships and coping with pressure; Traumatic experiences – such as disease, illness, disability, divorce, abuse or the death of someone close. I work from consulting rooms in Monmouth and Bristol.
